Cranky Kiddos

You should probably know, that with the exception of taking my daughter to both her Hip Hop & Broadway Dance classes (at Ludovici Dance Academy) I have been in the house for the last few days. My son has been very under the weather, with a cold and on and off fevers. He's usually just docile and even more of a cuddlebug than normal when he's sick, but this time he veered off that path in favor of being the Whine Boss. He acts as if it's my personal fault and problem that he doesn't feel well. He's just been so angry at me. It's my fault he's cold, he wants to nap and when he wakes up, it was my fault he had fallen asleep...you can't win with this kid! Oh, and he has a small obsession with Lady Gaga and all he wanted to do all day in between being The Snotty Terror was to watch interviews of her because he 'loves to watch her talk'. It's both hilarious and crazy inducing. On top of that I've walked around this house in between sweaty naps looking like that scary girl (another of Aid's obsessions) from The Ring movie. Hubby got home super early today, making me want to fall at his feet in gratitude, and also smell my armpits to make sure I didn't make him want to flee back to work.

Seriously though, I have a file full of pictures of projects that I've started and finished, and uh didn't finish... I desperately need to share it all with you. Here are a few things for you to check out!

This is a picture board for Chunka's bedroom wall. I initially had done it years ago, but she had grown out of it, so I wanted to replace it with something a little more funky. It's first life had been a boring old cork board that had graced my walls as a teen, then I took some tossed carpet padding, cut it to size and padded the cork board. I then cut the width of the board out of some cute pink and green polka dotted fabric, stapled it to the back, attached some pretty ribbon and hung it up. So now it's going to be just a little more grown. Chunk's heading head first into her tween stage. She acts as if I'm trying to ruin her seasoned little life by making her sleep in a room that's so..so.. childish!!

My supplies such as the fabric and ribbon are all bought (this time around) from Wal-Mart. Sad, I know, but our Joannes, Micheals, and Hobby Lobby are all about 25 minutes away in Boardman. So, most of the time the meager craft section is what I have to make do with in a pinch.

So, speaking of meager, that's the first thing I'm going to share in regards to my projects. Tomorrow, hopefully I'll be able to look like a hot, good smelling JLee/Mom again. Maybe I'll even do my hair! If I do, I'll make sure to take pics!

Until tomorrow dolls,

I survived Day 1

Made it out alive. Was a bit of a bummer coming in 6th and all, but we'll get em next time. Also, just a little advice for those of you that may be thinking of competitive cheer; pack pack pack your lunches/snacks! What a money saver. A steady stream of fruit snacks, juice and a Nintendo DS made the day run smooth for my little monsta :)

Pictures tomorrow! I promise!

What? I should be blogging too?!?

Hello everyone, so the past few days have been a frenzy of preparing to stock both my Ebay Store, and my Etsy store. Both have my lovely DitzaLee moniker. It's something I have really loved doing so I love the confusion and sea of clothes, vintage things, and antiques.

However... tomorrow starts our big cheer weekend for Natalie's Cheer & Tumble. The David L Lawrence Convention Center is holding the GLCC competition, which you can check out here. We went to the one in Akron Oh too. It's a lot of fun, they don't like you to just stand around staring at each other between sessions, so they make sure to entertain you the whole way through. Father Daughter dance competitions, a huge screen that you can text message good lucks on and much more. But of course, that's not all. On to the Three Rivers Throw down competition at Robert Morris University on Sunday. Trust me, with a broken ankle and a 4 year old rambunctious little boy... this will be interesting. Thank God for Big Al.

I'm going to leave you with a few pics of our cheer girls (from last year, I'll have more after the weekend!)

It's time...

With the events of the past 5 days I feel that it's time for me to really devote some time to my blog. Thursday night I fell in the parking lot of my daughter's cheer gym. I fractured my ankle.. I was in a hard splint until today, when thankfully, I found out from the orthopedic doctor that I only have to wear a brace for. It has slowed me down a bit. Also, on Friday I find out that my income tax return has been garnished by the Department of Education. On the day it was to be deposited into my account. I had no idea, and also had been advised by the Dept that it was not going to happen. I've been out of work since October of last year so the money was to be my life boat.

So suffice it to say, it's been rough. I know that I need to complete my life by using my gifts and doing things that I love. So... I'm hoping that whoever YOU are, would like to take this journey with me.

I'm going to be writing about my life, fixin' up this old house that I love, and also other things I enjoy...inspiration..laughter, well, just about a little of everything. I have an Ebay store which is also named DitzaLee... The next few days I'll be restocking. It's a bit of a consignment shop, and within the next few months I would also like to start my Etsy shop. I have a love of antiques and making old things new again so I'm going to take the plunge and put it out there and have faith it's all going to work out as I feel God is directing it to.

I'm going to leave you today with a few pictures to meet my family.
